David Elkind
David Elkind is currently Professor Emeritus of Child Development at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. His research has been in the areas of perceptual, cognitive and social development where he has attempted to build upon the research and theory of Jean Piaget. Perhaps Professor Elkind is best known for his popular books, The Hurried Child, All Grown Up and No Place to Go, Miseducation, Ties that Stress and most recently The Power of Play: Learning what comes naturally. He has appeared on The Today Show, The CBS Morning News, Twenty/Twenty, Nightline, Donahue, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Dr. Elkind brings his passion for Montessori and his many years of experience and expertise in the field of Early Childhood Education to MCI.

 

 

 

Timothy McNamara
Timothy McNamara was born and raised in Colorado. He is the owner operator of the Usui Center of Natural Healing and is a Reike Master. Timothy conducts workshops at MCI which help to develop self-awareness amongst teacher trainees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Carol Ziller
Carol Ziller is currently retired. She has been teaching or directing Montessori schools since 1982. As a young woman she knew she wanted to work with children and ran summer camps for school age children for a recreation district in northern California, volunteered with the Easter Seal Society giving respite to families with special needs children and young adults and tutored blind children. She also has worked in special education at the high school level within the public school sector. Carol earned her Montessori teaching credential from NCME in 1982 in Arizona, she is a member of NAMTA, the International Montessori Council and has a lifetime membership in American Montessori Society.

 

 

Dinkar Jetley
Dinkar Jetley is a co-founder of Pivot Investment Partners, a New York-based investment firm. Prior to Pivot, he was CEO of Worldwide Securities Service at JPMorgan Chase and a member of its Executive Committee. Earlier, Jetley spent twelve years at Deutsche Bank where he was the Global Head of Trust and Securities Services and Cash Management for Financial Institutions and a member of the Global Transaction Banking business leadership team for Deutsche Bank. He has also spent 14 years with Citibank in retail and corporate banking in the US, Canada, France and the UK in a number of leadership positions in operations, technology, finance,and credit risk. Jetley holds an undergraduate degree in commerce from the University of Calcutta and an MBA degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.

 

 

Rosemarie Allen
Rosemarie brings a strong background in early childhood care and education with 30 years of experience in the field.  She has served as the Director for Division of Child Care at The Colorado Department of Human Services, which is the State’s lead agency in planning and implementing public child care policy. She has also been the Director of the lab schools at Front Range Community College, Metro State and the Community College of Denver.  She is an instructor of Early Childhood Education classes, in the Community College System, at Metro State and guest lecturer in the Buell Leadership Program at the University of Denver

Kathleen DeVries
Kathleen deVries is the Co-Director of Early Childhood Professional Development System and Early Learning and School Readiness. Prior to this, she was Department Chair of the Early Childhood Education Department at Red Rocks Community College in Colorado where she oversaw ECE programs designed to meet state certification needs as well as those that transfer to the four-year degrees leading to teacher licensure in the state of Colorado.
